Pain Relieving Turmeric Tea
I just ran my first marathon this past Sunday, and it was an incredible experience! But I am definitely hurting now. My body is in recovery mode and needs to rest and repair. To handle the pain without popping Advil every few hours I've been sipping on my pain relieving turmeric tea. Turmeric which is a natural anti-inflamatory is great at relieving pain and inflammation in the body, without the taxing effects of drugs. This is also the perfect soothing bedtime drink as Turmeric helps to calm the nervous system as well.
Recipe type: Smoothie and Juice
  • 1 cup of Almond Milk
  • ½ tsp of Turmeric
  • Dash of Cinnamon
  • Dash of Ginger
  • Drizzle of Honey (optional)
  1. On the stove top heat a cup of almond milk
  2. Once the milk is warm add in additional ingredients, stir well, and serve.
