Shanna Schulze
is a Certified Thermographic Technician and Trainer through PACT.  PACT is the Professional Academy of Clinical Thermology.  They are a non-profit group for training Thermographers and Thermologists.  The PACT website is www.medicalthermology.org.  Visit them for more information.

Shanna is a proud member of Breast Thermography International (BTI) www.btiscan.com.  She started out with Breast Thermography International as their Administrative Director.  Seeing a high interest level in Florida, she decided to move there to cater to the patient demand of people in the know in South Florida.  Now Shanna sees patients full time and is no longer working as the Admin Director.  She started Southern Florida Medical Thermography and travels to many locations screening patients, also in South Carolina.  By working with alternative-minded practitioners, she’s built a referral system to help her patients when they’re showing heat discrepancies thermographically.

Shanna was working as an Accounting Manager and a Controller in the Hospitality industry before becoming a CTT.  She experienced physical ailments due to stress.  After having been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and given prescription medications to mask the issues, she thought there has to be a better way!  She is so happy to have found thermography and work with alternative-minded practitioners who teach her about how our bodies are meant to heal themselves and how nutrition, exercise and life style changes can be a huge part of being healthy.  Some personal experiences with family members having cancer have led her on a mission to improve her own health and her patients’ health through medical thermography.  She’s always saying “Early detection is key!” And “Prevention is ideal!”

What is Thermography?

Thermography or Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI) is a screening tool for physiologic cellular health.  It’s a non-invasive, radiation-free test that uses infrared imaging to perform a full body scan.  It is most commonly used for Breast Cancer screenings where the equipment has an FDA 510k clearance for possible early detection but ideally prevention of cancer and other diseases.  The scan detects physiological changes in the body that are a response to disease or pathology, such as abnormal vascular activity and inflammation.  By identifying hot spots or cold spots in the body you can take steps, either through further diagnostic testing or changes in diet and lifestyle, to heal your body and eliminate inflammation.

Thermography produces an infrared image that shows the patterns of heat and blood flow near the surface of the body.  This is very different than other modalities such as Mammography, MRI, and ultrasounds that are useful for anatomical or structural analysis.  Those tests look at what’s happening in the body that can be seen, such as a cyst or a tumor. Thermography looks at the heat discrepancies in your body.

Thermography can detect disease 8-10 years before it manifests in symptoms or severe health problems, in some cases.  You can receive a breast only scan, a female or male health profile, or full body imaging.  Early detection saves lives! Don’t delay, see if there’s room for improvement in your health today. Call us to schedule your screening!

It is well known that early detection is the best defense against breast cancer and that, if treated in the earliest stages, a 95% cure rate is achieved. The “cure” is early detection.
