Vegan Chocolate Mousse
OMG this Chocolate Mousse is beyond good! Honestly I'm kinda amazed by how good this turned out. Everyone that knows me personally has seen how picky I can be about desserts. In fact I pretty much judge every restaurant on their chocolate dessert selection. So I have had my fair share of chocolate mousse in my day. And not to toot my own horn here but this is some of the best I've ever had. And heres the kicker, it's made with tofu! I know what you are thinking how could something made with tofu taste like the real deal. But I promise you it does! This mousse is just as creamy and rich as if it was made with heavy cream. And the best part is that all you need is 5 ingredients and 5 minutes and you'll have a delicious and healthy dessert.
Serves: 4
  • A 1lb package of Silken Tofu (Buy Organic Non GMO)
  • Two 3oz Dark Chocolate Bars (I used Newmans 70% Dark)
  • 1 tbsp of Raw Cacao
  • 1 tbsp of Agave
  • 1 tsp of Vanilla extract
  1. Break up Chocolate bars into little pieces and melt in a double boiler, or place a mixing bowl over a pot of boiling water.
  2. Meanwhile add tofu, raw cacao, agave, and vanilla to a blender.
  3. Add melted chocolate to the blender and process until everything is combined.
This is the perfect guilt free dessert. You have tofu, which is a great source of protein and is rich in minerals and antioxidants. And dark chocolate, which is also packed full of antioxidants, helps strengthen the cardiovascular system, and stimulates all the happy endorphins to be released in your brain. So if you are looking for a healthier dessert option without losing any of the flavor, whip up some of this deliciousness!
